An internship experience worth talking about

My Future Housing Leaders internship with Berkeley Point Capital set the foundation for my future career in the housing industry. The experience allowed me to develop and employ new skills and accomplish things I did not think possible.

For example, I performed preliminary credit reviews of sponsors and reported findings. Among other things, I was also responsible for the input and analysis of property rent rolls and historical financial statements.

My internship challenged me to compete and collaborate with extraordinary interns across the United States. We worked together to complete a case study, learning to work together to meet a project deadline along the way. We collectively utilized our quantitative, analytical, and communication skills to achieve our goal and ultimately win the case study.

This experience was key to my professional and personal development. All in all, my internship with one of the nation's leading sources of capital solutions for multifamily owners and operators has provided me with the intellectual, creative, and leadership experience I need to develop the skills essential to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
